Cervical stump cancer is rare condition because of subtotal hysterectomy became unpopular today. It was known that successful rate of treatment outcome of cervical stump cancer is relatively lower than those of cervical cancer with intact uteri, this is probably due to associated high complication and poor survival rate. From 1968 to 1987, ten cases of cervical stump cancer was admitted to Yonsei University medical center department of obstetrics and gynecology and the incidence of cervical stump cancer was 0.32% of cervical cancers - the lowest prevalance ever reported before. The mean age of cervical stump cancer was 50.4 year. Cervical stump cancer was diagnosed most frequently from 5 to 10 years after subtotal hysterectomy an 20% of cervical stump cancers was diagnosed before the end of 2 years after subtotal hysterectomy. Nine cases of these patients were treated with surgery or radiation therapy and its 5-year survival rate was 83.3%.
